Chris was born in the UK, and grew up in Canada from the age of eleven. Having gained her Degree in Mathematics at Dalhousie University, she went on to study Architecture at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, Scotland, and the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto, Portugal.
Her early career started out in the practices of Luis Burillo Lafarga, Madrid, and Seth Stein Architects, London, and included one off houses in London and Toronto, as well as art galleries and museums in Geneva, Switzerland, and Huesca, Spain. On returning to North America, she joined Elkus Manfredi Architects in Boston to design projects including two distinguished buildings for the Broad Institute in Cambridge. Her portfolio includes urban design, high-rise residential, office, lab and research, mixed use developments, exhibition design, retail and restaurants. In 2014, Chris made the career move to AvalonBay, an residential equity REIT. She has since built high-rise developments in both Boston and New York City.

Chris is also an avid sketcher and painter. Her academic and professional careers have both offered opportunities throughout Europe and North America. Her travels have taken her as far afield as Kenya and Tanzania, and include paddling 160 miles down the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon - all of which have been memorialized in her sketch books.
I am very excited to share this website and my work with you all - enjoy! - C
